US mobile customer intelligence solution provider Kontagent has hired former Yahoo! VP Charles Marker as Vice President of Engineering, to lead the ongoing design and development of its products.
Founded in 2007 and headquartered in San Francisco, Kontagent offers clients worldwide a platform tracking more than 250 million monthly active users and 250 billion events each month, and its proprietary
kSuite offers visualization and analysis of patterns in social media data.
Marker (pictured) previously served as VP of Operations and Developer Software at Yahoo!, where he was responsible for developing software to manage the company’s infrastructure. Earlier, he was VP of Software at Qualcomm/Atheros, and VP of Engineering at Geocast Network Systems. He also held various senior management roles at Silicon Graphics, and he co-founded BDNA Corporation, which provides IT infrastructure insight and analysis.
