In the US, Mountain View, California-based big data firm Think Big Analytics has appointed Chuck Palmer as Vice President of Sales, to oversee and develop the firm’s sales team.

Think Big Analytics combines data science disciplines with large-scale, open source information platforms to help clients unlock insights hidden in different types of data, including documents, web site traffic, text, voice mail, video and social media. The firm recently launched with $3m in seed funding, which it is using to expand its data science and engineering teams.

Palmer joins with two decades of technology sales experience. Most recently, he spent a decade at GlassHouse Technologies, where he latterly served as Area Vice President of Sales, overseeing the eastern half of the US and Canada.
