Trent BuskirkIn the US, Marketing Systems Group (MSG) has appointed former Nielsen exec Trent Buskirk as Vice President of Statistics and Methodology.

Founded in 1987 by survey research professionals Dale Kulp and Gerard Holzbaur, MSG provides survey research products and services from its offices in Horsham, PA, and office in Research Triangle, NC. The company’s products include the Genesys RDD for sample design and generation, the PRO-T-S for predictive dialing, and the ARCS panel management system.

Buskirk (pictured) joins with more than fifteen years’ professional and academic experience in the fields of survey research, statistics, biostatistics, as well as sampling and data collection methodology using emerging technology. Most recently, he worked for Nielsen as Research Director in Advanced Methods, and during his career, Buskirk has also served as Associate Professor of Biostatistics at Saint Louis University and he taught at the University of Nebraska. He was previously an Associate Editor and Advisory Board Member for the Encyclopedia of Survey Research Methods, and he currently serves on AAPOR’s Emerging Technology Task Force.

In his new role, Buskirk will help develop sampling plans for survey research projects; assist with statistical analyses and development of technical documentations for company products; and develop business opportunities relating to survey sampling, analytics and methodology.
