UK-based agency Marketing Sciences, part of the Creston Group, has appointed Gerald Curtis as an Associate Director in its qualitative research team.

Curtis brings more than fifteen years’ experience, with particular expertise in food and drink research, and for the last six years has worked as a freelance research consultant, advising FMCG clients on packaging, product and sensory testing, and shopper behaviour. Prior to this he was a director at the Ashdown Group, working across the FMCG, IT, financial, automotive and telecoms sectors.

He joins a growing qualitative team - he is the fourth qual specialist to join the company in the past two years - during a period when Marketing Sciences as a whole is booming, reporting 30% turnover growth in the first quarter of the 2013 / 2014 financial year, vs Q1 of 2012/3.

Company MD Jane Rudling comments: ‘Gerald has a strong commercial focus and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience across the range of research methods and sectors.’ She adds: ‘We’re expanding our services in response to the strong demand we’re experiencing from our clients, especially across our core sectors of FMCG and retail. We want to build on this and, with Gerald’s experience, drive further growth as we look to achieve strong half and full year results.’
