Laura PerkinsUS-based youth and family research and consulting firm Smarty Pants has hired qual researcher Laura Perkins as Insights Guru, responsible for expanding the company’s traditional and digital research services and creative deliverables.

Smarty Pants, which is headquartered in Johnson City, TN and has additional offices in New York, Boston, San Diego, Chicago and Myrtle Beach, conducts market research with kids, tweens, teens and influencers and guides marketers on brand positioning, new product development and consumer lifestyles and trends.

Perkins (pictured) joins after nearly a decade in the research industry. Most recently, she was a Senior Consultant at online research community builder Communispace, where she worked in the firm’s Insights and Analytics group, and helped set up a creative storytelling department. She began her career at Hasbro as Market Research and Global Insights Coordinator, managing the firm’s play-testing facilities and producing trend analyses to grow its knowledge of the youth and toy markets.
