In the US, big data analytics specialist GoodData has appointed Divyasmita Ghatak as Chief People Officer, with a focus on employee engagement, talent and leadership development, corporate culture and organizational collaboration.

Launched in 2007, GoodData offers an analytics platform which provides clients with operational dashboards, advanced reporting and data warehousing, via computers or mobile apps.

Ghatak joins from Cisco Systems where she had HR responsibility for 4,500 employees globally. Prior to this, she served as Director of Human Resources for North American Operations at Tavant Technologies, and she founded and served as CEO for executive search firm Venturis India.

In her new role, Ghatak will oversee people operations for all of GoodData's offices, including San Francisco and Portland in the US, and Prague and Brno in the Czech Republic.
