Amanda PhillipsWPP’s brand, media and communications research consultancy Millward Brown has hired Amanda Phillips for its newly created role of Head of Sales and Marketing in the UK.

Phillips (pictured) joins with more than twenty years’ experience in the marketing services industry. Having begun her career in account management at WWAV Rapp Collins, she became COO of Joshua, Managing Director of MRM, and CEO of Proximity London. She later co-founded behaviour-change agency An Abundance, which applied understanding of behavioural psychology to marketing communications, and more recently, she served as MD and Head of Strategy at digital marketing agency Volume.

In her new role, Phillips will focus on developing and delivering a commercial strategy to grow Millward Brown in the UK, overseeing business development, marketing, and research design. She reports to UK MD Dale Beaton, who comments: ‘Over the last twelve months, and more than ever before, we have made tremendous progress in introducing our solutions to new clients. Amanda’s strong agency background, strategic thinking and communications experience makes her the perfect person to help Millward build on that success even further.’
