In the US, MR technology firm 20|20 Research has appointed former Ipsos exec John Pflum as Vice President of Accounting and Finance.

Founded in 1986, 20|20 Research develops online qualitative market research services and the software and technology behind them. The firm’s operations are headquartered in Nashville, and it also maintains traditional focus group facilities in Nashville, Charlotte and Miami.

Pflum (pictured) joins from the University of Cincinnati, where he served as Director of Business Affairs and Human Resources Leader for the university's College of Nursing. Prior to this, he spent more than three years at Ipsos Understanding Unlimited (IUU) as Finance Director; he was Project Accountant at Jacobs Engineering; and Regional Co-ordinator at national engineering firm Edwards and Kelcey.

In his new role, Pflum will oversee all of 20|20’s financial operations, including financial planning, reporting, and accounting. CEO Jim Bryson comments: ‘John has worked in a number of business settings, both large and small, public and private, including one of the largest market research companies in the world. His collective knowledge and skills are invaluable to us as we build on our recent success, as well as fuel the success of our clients.’
