Ted Stites and Karen PierceData driven CRM firm Merkle has appointed Ted Stites as Senior Vice President, Digital Channel Optimization, while Karen Pierce joins as Vice President, Insurance.

Stites has nearly twenty years of industry expertise in marketing analytics, optimization, and automation. He joins from Adobe experience management company Siteworx, where as VP, Strategy and Insights, he was responsible for driving a wide range of offerings including digital strategy, digital analytics, and testing and automation. Earlier, he co-founded digital analytics specialist Numeric Analytics, and he set up his own technology and marketing services firm DuraWorks.

In his new role, Stites is responsible for expanding Merkle’s digital channel optimization business, including site analytics and personalization, web development, and content management. EVP Zhengda ‘Z’ Shen comments: ‘Ted’s leadership and impressive expertise make him a great fit for Merkle’s culture and to drive our evolving solutions in digital channel optimization.’

Before joining Merkle, Pierce led new business development for the central US at digital marketing agency and online buzz measurement specialist iCrossing. Earlier, she spent several years with Epsilon on its direct marketing and database teams. In her new position, Pierce is charged with championing the growth of the firm’s insurance industry.
