Amie Turrill OwensIn the US, youth and family research consultancy Smarty Pants has hired Amie Turrill Owens for its newly created role of Head of Syndicated Research.

Smarty Pants, which is headquartered in Johnson City, TN and has additional offices in New York, Boston, San Diego, Chicago and Myrtle Beach, conducts market research with kids, tweens, teens and influencers and guides marketers on brand positioning, new product development and consumer lifestyles and trends.

Turrill Owens (pictured) joins with 25 years’ cross-category experience as a planner and marketer. Most recently, she worked as an independent brand consultant, prior to which, she served as SVP of Brand Planning at Arnold Worldwide, where she led insights work on the positioning of Santander Bank in the US. Before this, she spent four years as Head of Brand Strategy and Global Insight at Reebok.

In her new role, based in Foxboro, MA, she leads the company’s portfolio of syndicated offerings.
