Andrew PearlIn the UK, eCommerce analytics company Profitero has hired Andrew Pearl for its new role of Director of Strategy and Insights, EMEA.

Profitero recently partnered with Nielsen, to enable FMCG manufacturers to correlate digital shelf analytics with actual sales data. Pearl (pictured) joins with thirteen years category management and shopper marketing experience, gained while serving as Shopper Insights Manager at Mars, UK Category Management Controller at McCormick, and Director of Customer and Shopper Marketing at Tata Global Beverages.

In his new role, Pearl will mainly be working with customers to drive their online performance and understanding of eCommerce, using Profitero’s analytics capabilities on the Digital Shelf (optimising product images, reviews and ratings, product placement, pricing, and availability), and performance at key online retailers. Commenting on his career move, Pearl said: ‘What really impressed me with Profitero was not only their incredible breadth of online insights and analytics, but also the absolute focus on driving greater eCommerce sales and brand equity for their customers.’
