In the US, Delta Air Lines subsidiary Delta Private Jets (DPJ) has hired former Gartner exec Nicholas Portaro as Vice President of Sales, responsible for providing customers with access to loyalty programs and exclusive events.

DPJ operates a fleet of more than 70 aircraft, and claims to be the only private jet company affiliated with a major commercial airline. Portaro (pictured) joins with more than 25 years’ sales and senior leadership experience, most recently gained as VP of Insights at Information Services Group (ISG), where he launched market strategies for new research solutions and led global sales teams. He previously spent fourteen years at Gartner, where he held a number of roles including Sales Vice President, Executive Director; and Inside Area Manager.

In his new position, Portaro will also lead DPJ’s sales, pricing, revenue management and product development department.
