Ryan LinderMarcoms holding company MDC Partners has promoted Ryan Linder from SVP of Business Development to the role of Chief Marketing Officer in the United States.

New York and Toronto-based MDC operates a Consumer Insights Group to offer data and analytics capabilities to other group companies, and has invested in a number of market research and analytics firms. These include language and communications research specialist Lunt Global, data analytics business kenna, and qualitative research firm and focus group facility Ecker & Associates.

Linder (pictured) joined the firm in 2013 as SVP, Strategic Growth, having previously held similar roles at Doner Advertising & Media, and the Media Assembly. Earlier, he was EVP, CMO at Zimmerman Advertising, and he worked at OLSON and Jack Morton Worldwide. In his new role, Linder will oversee marketing and business development across the group's largest agency portfolio and market, and he will partner with regionally-based CMOs, Stephanie Nerlich in Canada and Lotta Malm Hallqvist in Europe, to drive ongoing global growth.

He reports to Bob Kantor, Chief Marketing and Business Development Officer, who comments: 'What sets Ryan apart is his boundless energy and enthusiasm for business development, and the investment he makes in building deep agency and client relationships. Ryan works across MDC's diverse partner agencies to align them with the right clients, which is why so many brands count on him as a partner and a stakeholder in helping them achieve their goals'.
