In the US, radio station airplay monitoring firm Mediabase has promoted Minal Patel to the role of Project Manager.

The firm publishes music charts and data based on the most played songs, and provides in-depth analytical tools for radio and record industry professionals in US and Canadian markets. Its charts and airplay data are used on many radio countdown shows and televised music awards programs.

Patel (pictured) joined in 2008 as Director of Clients Services, before which, she was an Information Strategist for Warner Music, Atlantic Records, and Bad Boy Entertainment; and she was a Charts Manager at Billboard, and Promotions Coordinator at Loud Records.

Commenting on the promotion, President & CEO Philippe Generali said: Minal will play a key role in leading our new user interface design. She has done a terrific job of weighing the pros and cons of changes, while getting rid of redundancy and streamlining the customer experience going forward.’
