Basu joins after a career in academia, most recently as an Assistant Professor of Mathematics at Occidental College in Los Angeles, where he conducted research in Machine Learning and Data Analytics. He has been published extensively in academic and professional journals, and received a 2015 Early Career Award for great promise in mathematics, conferred by the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics.

Mabandla previously led teams and built systems at Adobe, Rue La, NameMedia and the University of Notre Dame; while Lee brings more than twenty years' experience with corporates such as Toyota and KPMG and small organisations. Kyung, who is a CPA, specializes in finding new efficiencies in processes and he is tasked with oversight of internal budget and financial operations.
