In the US, healthcare data and insights provider Decision Resources Group (DRG) has hired former Symphony exec Michael Weiss as Executive Vice President and General Counsel.

DRG, a subsidiary of Piramal Enterprises Ltd, offers healthcare clients an in-house team of expert healthcare analysts, data scientists and consultants providing guidance; and a range of data products and services including web-enabled research, predictive analytics and proprietary databases. Weiss (pictured) joins with more than twenty years of experience in commercial law, with extensive experience in data privacy and security, corporate and regulatory compliance, risk management, and mergers and acquisitions. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Chief Privacy & Compliance Officer at Symphony Health Solutions.

In his new position, he will serve on DRG's executive management team, reporting to CEO Jon Sandler, who comments: 'Michael has a proven track record of success throughout his legal career. He's a business-focused lawyer who understands how the legal function can help us achieve our objectives and positively impact our company's business results.
