In Edinburgh, eCommerce analytics and insights business e.fundamentals has appointed former Skyscanner exec Greg Urquhart as Chief Technology Officer and as a member of its Board of Directors.

Founded in 2014, London and Edinburgh-based e.fundamentals provides eCommerce insight to brand owners on the effectiveness of their online retail presence, providing details on pricing, positioning, and promotion from real-time data. The firm reviews and gathers the most up to date data about a product's performance online and then compiles it into its dashboard, enabling users to action the insights that will deliver the biggest return.

Urquhart (pictured) joins the Development Operations team, after running his own agency Agile 4-12, which he set up to help organisations deliver better products. Prior to this, he spent more than three years at travel fare aggregator site Skyscanner, where he served as Director of Product Delivery with a remit to transform the firm's Product Delivery organisation using lean and agile methodologies. Earlier, he held senior roles at Toshiba Medical Visualization Systems, Agilent Technologies, KSCL and LBMS.

In his new position, Urquhart will oversee e.fundamentals' technology platform and says his aim is to make the firm the Skyscanner of the eCommerce analytics world. CEO John Maltman added: 'We are excited to bring in Greg as he has already experienced the journey we are on. He'll strengthen the Board and help our clients win by improving their online sales performance through better technology.'
