UK-based food and drink research specialist Campden BRI has appointed Chris Ikpeme as Director of Finance, leading a team of 50 and responsible for finance, governance risk & compliance, facilities & engineering services, IT, and health and safety.

The organisation has over 2,600 member companies from 80 countries, including all of the top 10 UK retailers, the top 15 global food and drink manufacturers and many of the world's biggest brands. Its provides technical, legislative and scientific support and research services include agri-food production, analysis and testing, processing and manufacturing, safety, training and technical information services. Research includes sensory and consumer studies, with a specialist brewing and wine division.

Ikpeme joins after four years as Head of Finance at an IT Services company in Gloucester; and a number of senior roles in finance and accounting at science and technology companies, including ten years at DuPont.

In his new role, he will work with CEO Steven Walker to develop and grow the organisation's Centre of Technical Excellence (CoTE)
