Michael DiestelbergInsight-based customer engagement platform Mapp has promoted Michael Diestelberg to the role of Vice President Product & Marketing, based in Berlin, Germany.

Headquartered in the US, Mapp operates a Digital's Customer Engagement Platform which helps users identify consumer and behavioral data and streamline insights, in order to acquire new customers and grow brand affinity. Last year, the firm acquired German software developer Webtrekk, which offers tools to help companies connect, analyze and activate user and marketing data across all devices. Following this acquisition, Diestelberg (pictured) is now in charge of product development and the management of all marketing activities at an international level.

He previously spent more than five years at Webtrekk, having joined in 2013 as Senior Consultant, Digital Analytics and then moved into the positon of Head of Pre-Sales Consulting. Earlier, he worked for digital agency Aperto Online Marketing as an Analytics Consultant. In his new role, Diestelberg's responsibilities include establishing the global Mapp brand, and further developing its service portfolio, overseeing eight countries.

Commenting on the promotion, CEO Steve Warren said: 'Michael is the perfect addition to our global leadership team.
