In the US, strategic insights consultancy Grail Insights has appointed Kelly Valade as Vice President, leading UX and design research. She is based in Portland, Oregon.

Valade (pictured) joins with more than twenty years' experience of running customer insights programmes. Most recently, she ran her own research consultancy KV Squared, prior to which she served as Senior Director of User Research at banking tech specialist Simple Finance. Earlier, she worked for customer engagement platform Urban Airship as Lead Customer Research Manager, was Research Director at Market Strategies International (now (28013>Escalent), and Qualitative Director at Research Data Design.
