In the US, artificial intelligence (AI) provider CLARA analytics has appointed Karin Golde as Vice President of Data Science.

The firm uses AI-based products and applies image recognition, natural language processing, and other AI-based techniques to unlock insights from medical notes, bills and other documents relating to an insurance claim. Golde (pictured) joins after more than a decade at social media analytics specialist NetBase Quid, where she latterly served as VP, AI Research & Development, having earlier been the firm's Director of Data Science and Linguistics. Prior to this, she worked for InQuira as Principal Language Developer, and she served as Senior Linguist at Cataphora.
