In San Francisco, customer experience management specialist Medallia has appointed Henson Gawliu as Chief Digital and Demand Generation Officer.
Medallia's 'Experience Cloud' platform helps users understand and manage the experiences of customers, employees and citizens; capturing 'experience signals' created on daily journeys in person, on calls and via digital channels. It then uses proprietary AI technology to uncover personalized and predictive insights. Earlier this year, the company acquired real-time speech-to-text platform
Voci Technologies, and video feedback platform
LivingLens, having last year bought behavioural analytics platform
Cooladata.
Henson (pictured) joins from cloud-based solutions provider BlackLine, where he served as
VP of Marketing, Global Head of Demand Generation, managing a team of 90 who worked on demand generation, digital marketing, web, marketing operations and business development projects. Prior to this he worked for business software giant SAP as VP of Marketing - Global Head of Digital, Demand & Marketing Ops.
In his new role, Gawliu reports to President and CEO
Leslie Stretch, who comments: 'Henson has a proven track record as a revenue-generating marketing leader focused on leveraging the power of digital and demand generation. The world of marketing has changed, digital and virtual is the future and there is no better person to accelerate our growth in this area than Henson'.
