In the US, consumer behavior and analytics consultancy GBK Collective has appointed Melanie Oltmann as Vice President, based in its Austin, Texas office.
Previously known as
GBH Insights, the firm offers a proprietary research model combining sector knowledge, research expertise and analytics to help clients understand industry trends. Oltmann (pictured) joins with more than fifteen years' experience in research operations, project management and consulting. Most recently she worked as an independent consultant, and before this she spent more than eight years at Kantar Millward Brown, latterly as Director, Pricing & Proposal. Earlier she worked at consumer research agency Product Dynamics as Project Manager, after beginning her career as a Sensory Specialist and Trainer at Nestlé USA.
In her new role, Oltmann will focus on operations and project management, establishing best practices with the internal team and research partners. Commenting on her appointment, Oltmann said: 'I was first introduced to GBK Collective through
Rebecca Szew and Samantha Hare, who I worked with earlier in my career. After working on several projects with GBK as a consultant this year, the opportunity to join full time quickly materialized and I couldn't be more thrilled'.
