US-based youth and family researcher Smarty Pants has appointed Lizanne Woodson as Client Account Manager and hired Olivia Denton Smith for a newly created role, Accounts Payable Manager.

The company, which has its headquarters in Johnson City, TN and offices in seven other US cities, works on brand positioning, new product development, consumer lifestyle and trend research. Woodson joins the firm's headquarters from telecom giant CenturyLink, having begun her time there as a sales representative and risen to the position of Workforce Manager, overseeing the workflow and staffing for fourteen call centers around the globe. In her new position, she will oversee the financial and contractual sides of client relationships.

Denton Smith most recently worked at Lebanon Physical Therapy & Rehabilitative Services as Practice Manager, before which she was Executive Assistant to the President of Virginia Highlands Community College; and Executive Assistant to the City Manager of The City of Bristol, Virginia. Earlier she worked for a major East Coast construction firm, where she managed payments for projects, contractors, suppliers and subcontractors. In the new Tennessee-based position, reporting to the CFO, Denton Smith is responsible for developing and implementing financial controls and processes, and managing project and company profitability analyses and all financial transactions with research participants, vendors, employees and benefits providers.
