Neil RipleyBroadcasting group NBCUniversal has appointed former Comscore exec Neil Ripley as Vice President of communications for its Ad-Sales unit.

Comcast-subsidiary NBCUniversal owns and operates a portfolio of news and entertainment TV networks, a motion picture company, television production operations, a TV stations group, theme parks and an ad-supported streaming service. Earlier this year the group invested in and partnered with in-game ad platform Anzu.io, which integrates real-world brand ads into video gaming and esports gameplay, and already has measurement and targeting partnerships with the likes of Comscore, Kantar, Nielsen and WPP.

Ripley (pictured) joins after three years as Global Head of Corporate Communications at Comscore. Earlier, he worked agency-side as Senior Director at MWWPR; Senior Manager, Corporate Communications at Golin; Corporate Communications Lead at Emanate; and Senior Account Supervisor at Hill & Knowlton; having begun his career as a researcher at Congressional Quarterly. In his new role, Ripley is tasked with promoting the Ad-Sales unit's services in ad technology, data and cross-platform media measurement.

The firm has also appointed Margaux Fleuranges as Senior Communications Manager, following comms roles at Univision, 5W Public Relations, and Tractenberg & Co. Joe Bennaroch, SVP Communications, Advertising and Partnerships, comments: 'Today we're welcoming two people to the advertising and partnership communications team: Margaux and Neil. With Margaux stepping in as a Senior Manager, joining us from Univision, and Neil coming over from Comscore to serve as Vice President, we're expanding our thought leadership and communications around NBCUniversal's ad tech, measurement and data'.
