June 7 2022

Kelly BeaverKelly Beaver, Ipsos UK and Ireland CEO, has been awarded an MBE in the Queen's Birthday Honours list, for services to academia, research and the COVID-19 response.

Beaver (pictured) was promoted to her current role last November, when Ben Page moved to the role of global CEO, based in Paris. She joined Ipsos MORI more than a decade ago, and previously served as the firm's MD, Public Affairs (Social Research & Corporate Reputation), leading programmes including the REACT study, tracking COVID-19 prevalence across England, and public attitudes to work. She began her career with the firm as Head of Policy & Evaluation, based within the Ipsos MORI Social Research Institute. Alongside her work at Ipsos, she is a Fellow of the UK Academy for Social Sciences, a Board member for the Campaign for Social Sciences and a Visiting Senior Research Fellow at King's College London.

Beaver has been awarded an MBE, which stands for Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, is the third highest ranking Order of the British Empire award (excluding a knighthood/damehood), behind CBE and then OBE. Speaking about the award, Beaver said: 'It is overwhelming and humbling to receive this MBE, it's an incredible honour which highlights the impact that the research industry can have on society, especially in response to the pandemic. I'd like to thank Her Majesty the Queen for this honour, as well as everyone at Ipsos for their incredible commitment and hard work'.
