Australian media researcher Xtra Insights has appointed former Malaysian radio insights exec Carmen Lee as Research Director.
The Brisbane-based company offers audience and customer insights and consulting, using digital and mobile technologies to conduct music and content research; along with CATI room facilities and access to audience panels. In February it hired
Colleen Rolleston as Coordinator of its Regional Radio Audience Measurement Survey (RRAMS), and leader of its radio audience measurement team.
Lee's new role ranges across the firm's business operations, from project managing audio content studies to assisting with audience and advertising insights. She recently relocated to the country from Malaysia, where she was Acting Head of Research for Astro Radio, the country's top radio network. She brings two decades of media and radio research experience and has worked with Xtra before on a number of large-scale projects.
Xtra's MD Paul Amos says of the appointment: 'I couldn't believe my luck when this opportunity came up. With over 20 years' experience in media and research, Carmen is the perfect fit for us. We've known and worked with Carmen for many years in her role at Astro Malaysia. She has an excellent understanding of our products and services. Combined with her experience and success in Asia, Carmen will be a huge benefit in looking after our clients in that region and other parts of the world'.
