Emily SobolSocial listening specialist Convosphere has appointed Emily Sobol as SVP Research & Insights, with a seat on its executive leadership team and based in its New York office.

The company offers clients 'hands-on human-led' social data analysis across 100+ languages, from offices around the world, and in addition to running social listening projects provides strategic recommendations across multiple markets, channels and platforms. This includes putting social media conversations in context.

Sobol brings eighteen years of experience in digital research. She joined BuzzMetrics in 2004 - the company was then acquired by The Nielsen Group and restructured as Nielsen Online, where she formed part of the first UGC analysis team as the senior consultant in the Digital Strategic Services group. Most recently she was VP Social Intelligence at Ipsos, helping to build the social intelligence practice in North America during eleven years at the company. In her new role she will help to widen Convosphere's insights offering, further merging social data with traditional business intelligence and driving sustained growth in North America and beyond.
