Peter Milla - Information Technology and Privacy Consultant

Peter Milla is an Information Technology and Privacy consultant. He is an expert in the management of information technology, technology assessment, the application of technology to survey and market research as well as the security, privacy and regulatory issues relating to survey and market research. Prior to becoming a consultant, Peter held several senior management positions in the research industry, including Chief Information Officer and Chief Privacy Officer at Survey Sampling International and Chief Information Officer and Chief Privacy Officer at Harris Interactive.

Peter has served on the Council of American Survey Research Organization’s (CASRO) Board of Directors and also served on several committees and task forces, including Chair of the Technology Committee, Co-Chair of the Internet Research Task Force, member of the Government and Public Affairs Committee and the Social Media Task Force. He is also a CASRO and ANSI representative to the ISO Access Panel Quality Standard project (of ISO/TC225/WG2 "Access panels”).

Peter also serves as Technical Director for CIRQ, the CASRO Institute for Research Quality which provides audit and certification services to survey research firms for ISO 20252 and ISO 26362. Peter is also a Fellow of the Ponemon Institute, a research organization that is dedicated to advancing responsible information and privacy management practices in business and government. Peter is a frequent speaker at industry conferences.
