Founders Step Back as Redslim Hires New CEO
Swiss-based data management services firm Redslim has appointed former Nominet leader Russell Haworth as CEO, effective this week. Founders Eric Bensimon and Alberto Alcaniz will move into Board roles, with continuing input to the company's long-term strategy and growth initiatives.
Redslim helps clients in the CPG, consumer healthcare and retail sectors across more than 55 countries to realize the full ROI of their market data. This includes bringing together unstructured and fragmented information and transforming it into ready-to-use data sets, for insights on commercial performance, market shares, marketing, innovation and pricing. The firm was acquired by pan-European private equity firm Astorg in 2024, and has since worked with the investor to establish foundations in APAC and Latin America.
Haworth brings more than twenty years of experience leading and scaling international software, data and technology businesses. He worked in business analysis and development roles at Xerox, and as a Consultant at PA and Deloitte UK in the 1990s, before joining Thomson Reuters where in a fourteen-year stay he rose through senior strategy and development roles to MD for the MENA region. He was Chief Executive of UK Internet registry Nominet for six years until 2021, since when he has led three other companies as CEO - architectural software firm NBS, and data and content management specialists Hubexo and Acclaro. He has been UK-based except for his work at Thomson Reuters where he divided a dozen years between Dubai, Hong Kong and the US.
He joins Redslim with a remit to accelerate the company's AI and agentic enablement strategy, which is based around helping clients transform fragmented external data into 'R.E.A.D.Y' data products (R.eliable, E.xplainable, A.daptable, D.iscoverable and Y.ours). Redslim says it is evolving its proposition to address 'a broader enterprise challenge: ensuring external data is not only harmonized, but trusted, contextualized and discoverable enough to support modern AI use cases.' In the summer of 2025 the company announced a partnership with corporate data management and integration firm Databricks, allowing it to offer 'scalable and reliable' solutions into the future - as well as giving it early access to new tech.
Charles-Hubert Le Baron, Partner and Head of Technology, Mid-Cap at Astorg, welcomes Haworth's leadership experience and expertise in scaling international businesses. He states: 'Working closely with Russell, the founders and the wider management team, we are fully committed to supporting Redslim as it accelerates its international expansion, strengthens its position in external data management and capitalizes on the growing demand for trusted, AI-ready data.'
The founders stress they will retain an active role. 'Leading this company has meant everything to me' says Bensimon. 'The people, the challenges, the wins we achieved together. Moving onto the board is just a different seat at the table.' Alcañiz comments: 'Looking back, what I'm most proud of is how we've helped our clients make the most of their data, turning it into an asset they can actually act on to meet their business needs. Stepping into a board role is a shift in how I contribute. I'll still be cheering this team on and doing what I can to help us keep growing.'
