Gerallt Evans-HughesIn the UK, market research and insight agency Kadence International has appointed Gerallt Evans-Hughes as Account Director, following a number of public sector account wins.

Founded in 1992, Kadence, which has offices in the USA, UK, India, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and China, offers research and fieldwork services across numerous sectors, with a b2b focus.

The firm recently reported a 20% rise in revenue for its insight division, and overall growth of 9% to $11.3m during the financial year 2008-2009.

Gerallt Evans-Hughes joins with market experience gained from working with a number of different local authorities as a Senior Education Advisor, before fulfilling various research and consulting roles at BMG Research, Lorien Research and Mott MacDonald.

He recently chaired ‘The New Place Survey’ dissemination events in London and York, which were organised by the Communities and Local Government Department and Audit Commission to outline residents’ views about their local area and the services available. Evans-Hughes is also an active Council Member of the Local Authorities Research & Intelligence Association (LARIA).
