eSPIN and United Sample Roll Out Teen Network

August 19 2009

In the US, online survey sample firm United Sample and teens and young adult network eSPIN have partnered to launch a community where teens can participate in surveys and earn rewards for sharing their thoughts.

Gregg LavinUnited Sample will manage all facets of the new www.Surveys4Teens platform, and its technology will be employed to recruit panelists and direct them to the right surveys.

eSPIN, which is part of the Hearst Teen Network, currently has 1.7 million users, 860,000 of whom have registered to take surveys in exchange for rewards. It is ranked as a 'top ten teen site' by Internet ratings firm comScore.

'Teens are one of the most sought-after demographics for market researchers and with eSPIN's database, combined with our other panels, we have secured a panel of more than a million teens - one of the largest available to market research companies,' stated Gregg Lavin, President and co-founder of United Sample.

'We understand how to keep this community engaged and active and we know how to offer a survey experience that reinforces the member relationship with the brand while providing meaningful insight to researchers,' he added.

United Sample was set up last year by former goZing founders Lavin and Matt Dusig. In January, the firm raised $3m in Series B funding which it is using to fuel sales, increase marketing efforts, develop technology and enhance operations.
