Tool Combines Social Media Data, Internal Feedback

September 29 2009

Text mining software firm Clarabridge has launched Social Media Analysis (SMA), an analytic tool allowing clients to enhance their customer analysis by integrating social media content into their existing internal enterprise feedback.

Clarabridge SMA accesses social media content from the Alterian Techrigy2 warehouse of content from blogs, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and other social media sites; automatically removes unwanted content and selects 'actionable' topics, and classifies them for content and sentiment using Natural Language Processing. Users can create their own customised web-scraping routines.

Clarabridge CEO Sid Banerjee comments: 'Analysis of text-based social media content is a natural evolution for our customers who already analyze surveys, call center data as well as targeted websites. Current solutions on the marketplace focus on assisting the social media teams, but our solution also allows product management, customer service and other areas in the enterprise to draw upon that data.'

Available as a standalone solution or an add-on to other of the firm's products, SMA includes a full suite of reporting, visualization, predictive analytics, and early warning alerts, and features a new user interface suitable for users in many non-specialist departments.

Clarabridge is privately held with headquarters in Reston, Virginia and is online at www.clarabridge.com .

In addition to Techrigy, Alterian offers Content Management solutions and the Dynamic Messenger email platform.
