Quantivo Unveils e-Commerce Behavioral Solution

November 13 2009

Customer behavior analytics specialist Quantivo has launched a solution to enable e-commerce marketers and merchandisers to uncover which distinct customer segments will click/view/purchase next - based on what similar customers have done in the past.

Brian KellyThe new 'Quantivo for E-Commerce' platform combines the firm's Behavioral Analytics technology with expertise gained from working with leading e-commerce companies.

It includes pre-built insights of where customers come from, what they do, how much they spend and combinations of these factors. This, the firm says, enables companies to attract new prospects and convert them into loyal, repeat customers.

The system uncovers the best and worst referral sites for generating first-time visitors; products that are viewed and purchased by different campaigns and promotions; and how products or categories drive views and purchases.

It has been designed to help online companies gain insights into how purchases and profitability are affected by visit frequency, time span between visits, and other behaviors that signal profitable - or unprofitable - customers.

'Typical web analytics reports can help you to understand what your customers did, but they leave you scratching your head to determine why and what to do next,' said CEO Brian Kelly. 'Quantivo not only tells you why, but precisely how you should respond to those behaviors to increase clicks, visits and purchases.'

Earlier in the year, Quantivo extended its service to include the analysis of multiple customer events that lead to online purchases, web registrations, ad clicks, up-sells and more.
