Gongos Promotes Yazbeck for Communities Role

January 28 2010

US consultancy Gongos Research has moved Bob Yazbeck to the new role of Vice President, Community Methodologies, and appointed Sarah Corp to fill his former role as Director, Transportation & Technology.

Bob Yazbeck and Sarah CorpYazbeck joined the firm in 1999 from Motoresearch (now Synovate Motoresearch), and previously held positions with Marketing Force (now SPAR). In his new role, he will support the company's expansion of its i°Communities, metaCommunities and Consumer Village brands.

In 2009, revenues generated from the company's research community offerings increased to 23% of its overall revenue, as compared to 3% in 2005 when the firm first developed its proprietary research community platform for General Motors.

'More and more, marketing research and insights groups are interested in engaging with consumers in new ways,' says founder and CEO John Gongos. 'This newly created role intensifies our ability to develop fresh approaches to community methodologies, while leveraging our extensive research experience to fuel dynamic ways for companies to learn from consumers.'

Corp returns to Gongos from Clear Seas Research, where she led the Food and Packaging division, growing the team from one to five members in just over two years. Prior to that, she was a Senior Project Director for Gongos, focusing on the development of research communities.

In her new position, she will lead a team of twelve researchers dedicated to advancing product and feature-driven innovations for companies in the transportation and technology industries.

'Sarah's strengths as a researcher, and her vision and leadership, are already assets for her team and our company as a whole,' according to CEO Gongos.
