Harris Names UK Public Sector Specialist

In the UK, Harris Interactive has appointed former Millward Brown/TNS public sector researcher Neil Russell as Senior Consultant, Public Sector and Social Policy Research, to drive forward the practice.

Neil RussellRussell joins with a 26-year background in the market research industry, which has included more than 20 years in public sector research.

For the past seven years, he was an Account Director at Millward Brown, where he focused on the government sector. For the previous 18 years, he worked at TNS, latterly as a Research Director in the Social Research division.

Head of Research Jinty Weldon comments: 'Neil's ability to use research to connect with client issues will play a key role in the team. His expertise will really help us to deepen our relationships with existing clients, open up new opportunities and to develop new research solutions specifically for the public sector.'

Earlier this week, Harris Interactive posted net income of $1.3m on revenue of $44.6m for the quarter ending December 31 - the first time in seven quarters that the firm had recorded a profit.
