Kantar Media Names New Client Chief

In the US, WPP-owned Kantar Media North America - which provides insights, analyses and audience measurement services - has hired former Starcom MediaVest research chief Richard Fielding for the newly created post of Chief Client Officer.

Richard FieldingFielding joins from ad group Starcom MediaVest Group USA, where as VP, Director Global Research Group, he was responsible for developing consumer insight-based tools for the agency's network, as well as providing global client research support, local agency research group oversight and managing global vendor relationships.

He previously served as VP, Director of the Insights & Analytics Group for Starcom Worldwide and began his career with the company as Hong Kong Regional Research Director. During his career, Fielding also served as a Media Consultant for AC Nielsen in Indonesia and as a Research Director for the company in Malaysia.

In his new role, he will oversee development and promotion of new services and products for Kantar Media NA's existing clients, as well as driving new client acquisition.

Fielding will be based in Chicago and report directly to Kent.
