BrainJuicer Opens in Brazil

Online market research specialist BrainJuicer has opened an office in São Paulo, Brazil, headed by former Philips Director Gabriel Aleixo.

Gabriel AleixoThe new office is part of BrainJuicer's ongoing plan for global expansion, and adds to its existing presence in the UK, Holland, Germany, Switzerland, the United States, (New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles), Canada, and an affiliate in Australia.

This month, BrainJuicer also plans to start providing marketing consultancy in China.

The openings were announced in March, when the firm reported full year pre-tax profit up 21% to £1.66m; revenues up 27% to £11.8m; and operating profit up the same percentage to £1.65m.

Aleixo joins from Philips, where as Marketing Services Director he led brand and media management, market intelligence, online marketing and customer relationship management.

He previously held brand management and market intelligence roles at cosmetics and personal care specialist Beiersdorf, where latterly he was responsible for market research and consumer insights.

Speaking at the Company's AGM today, Chairman Ken Ford said that BrainJuicer has made an 'encouraging start' to its 2010 financial year.

Results for the first four months of the new year are ahead of 2009 and in line with the Board's expectations at the time of the 2009 results announcement made on 9 March, 2010, Ford added.
