Lyris Opens in Australia and Invests in Cogent

Online marketing specialist Lyris has opened two offices in Australia, and is making a 'strategic investment' in its partner Cogent to fuel growth in the country.

Luis RiveraThe move has been funded by the sale of $6m of stock to two existing shareholders in April. Lyris says its investment in Cogent - the terms of which were not disclosed - will complement its expanded organic presence in Australia.

The company's flagship offering Lyris HQ is an all-in-one online marketing solution that combines e-mail marketing with search, social and mobile channels, enhanced by embedded deliverability and web analytics.

The firm's new country headquarters in Sydney and Brisbane are led by General Manager Nicole Stanton, who previously held senior positions at Foxtel, TurboLinus, IMSI, IDC, Data Solutions and Lead Master.

'Australia represents the next phase of Lyris' continued international growth, as we bring integrated online marketing to all corners of the globe,' states CEO Luis Rivera. 'Our investment in Cogent will yield immediate returns, and moreover, with Nicole Stanton at the helm of our regional operations, she and her team will spark immediate organic growth.'
