Ipsos Observer Restructures in US

August 31 2010

Ipsos Observer has restructured its US team into three geographical regions, and promoted Allison Gunn, John Ward and Dennis Barbelet to lead each of the teams.

David ShankerThe restructure follows Ipsos' acquisition of OTX (Online Testing Exchange) at the beginning of the year, and the subsequent integration of OTX's RSX research and data collection team into the North America Ipsos Observer team.

As part of the re-shuffle, Gunn has been promoted to Senior Vice President in charge of the West Area, based in Los Angeles. She previously worked for OTX, and was a founding member of the RSX service.

Ward becomes Vice President, leading the Central Area from Minneapolis. He joins from the Ipsos side of the business, and since the acquisition of OTX has been involved in integrating the two teams.

Barbelet, who will lead the East Area from New York, has been promoted to Vice President. He joined OTX in 2007, prior to which he held similar roles at Synovate and TNS.

The trio are tasked with leading teams focused on building client relationships and driving client service on a more regional, local and personal level.

'With Allison, John, and Dennis' leadership, clients in each region are going to fully understand why the people at Ipsos Observer are the survey management, data collection and delivery specialists,' states David Shanker, Global President of Ipsos Observer (pictured).
