TubeMogul Adds Demographics to Video Platform

February 15 2011

US online video analytics firm TubeMogul has added real-time audience demographic reporting to its video tracking platform, including data on age, gender, household income, marital status, home ownership and number of children.

Brett WilsonTubeMogul's advertising solution is powered by a data platform that tracks billions of video streams every month from the Internet's top publishers.

Last July, the company launched InPlay, a suite of customized video player analytics, which claims to track every major video player, platform and delivery method on the web.

Its new PlayTime demographic reporting add-on provides free access to information about the people who view video ads.

By aggregating data from several sources, TubeMogul says it has increased both sample sizes and accuracy. Additionally, by mapping data to its existing database of hundreds of millions of unique viewers, the firm can now offer the data historically, to enable advertisers to see trends from previous campaigns.

'Advertisers can now be sure they reached their target audience and make powerful comparisons,' states co-founder and CEO Brett Wilson.
