KSS Adds Segment-Based Modeling to PriceStrat

In the US, price modeling and customer insight firm KSS Retail has updated its PriceStrat solution to include modeling and optimization features based on customer segments.

Yael CossetKSS Retail was acquired last year by Tesco Clubcard operator dunnhumby. The firm provides price optimization and shopper insight solutions for the grocery, convenience, chain drug, general and online retail industries; and plans to expand its range of packaged shopper insight applications for retail customers.

'With the upgraded version of PriceStrat, retailers can now generate optimized prices, and model category performance, by customer segment, 'states KSS Retail CEO Yael Cosset. 'This capability will allow retailers to fully integrate segment behavior into their pricing and promotion decisions to ensure they are meeting their customers' needs to enhance their shopping experience.'
