BuzzLogic Appoints CFO

San Francisco-based online media and metrics company BuzzLogic has announced the appointment of R. Brian Gibson as Chief Financial Officer.

Gibson joins the company following its injection of $7.8m Series C funding in May and a change in strategic direction away from standalone social media monitoring towards a more horizontal approach to online marketing. The company is also implementing plans for acquisitions, an increase in its product offering and an increase in head count.

Gibson has more than 20 years of financial experience, most recently as VP of Finance and Principal Accounting Officer of LookSmart, Ltd. He also worked as VP of Finance for SenSage, Inc., and has held a number of other executive positions.
