Senior Appointments at The Demand Institute

In New York, consumer demand specialist The Demand Institute has appointed Pope Ward as Executive Director and Louise Keely as Chief Research Officer. The Institute is jointly operated as a non-profit body by The Conference Board and Nielsen.

Mark LeiterThe organization was launched in February with a mission to provide insight into how consumer demand is evolving around the world. Ward will be responsible for membership programs and operations. Prior to joining he was Chair of the Office of Executive Councils and advisor to the US Chief Performance Officer at the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) in Washington, D.C. In this role he worked with government agencies such as the Departments of Commerce, Defence, Justice, Labor, State, Transportation, and Treasury. Before this, he was a senior executive with The Corporate Executive Board (CEB) in Washington, for twenty years.

Keely will take responsibility for The Demand Institute's research and knowledge building investments. Before joining she was Intellectual Capital Director at strategic consultancy The Cambridge Group, which is part of Nielsen. Prior to this she was a member of the Department of Economics faculty at the University of Wisconsin-Madison; she also held research fellowships at Oxford and Brookings Institution. She began her career with management consultancy Bain & Company.
