Ibrahim Appointed CEO of TNS-Aftab

Quratulain Ibrahim has been promoted from COO to Chief Executive Officer of full service agency TNS-Aftab, the global agency's affiliate company in Pakistan and Afghanistan.

Quratulain IbrahimThe firm was established in 2010, when TNS formalized its partnership with Aftab Associates, which works on qual and quant projects across a diverse range of sectors such as consumer packaged goods, financial services, telecoms, media and social.

In addition to custom research, the company also offers syndicated research programmes such as continuous brand health monitor TNS Tracker Plus, Kids Media Reality, Media Index Teen, Youth Panel and the National Readership Survey.

Ibrahim joined Aftab Associates in 1996 after completing a Masters in Business Administration. She left to join Nielsen in the early 2000s when the company closed temporarily but returned when it resumed operations.

During her time with the firm, she has been instrumental in developing the rural Socio-Economic Classification system for Pakistan, which is based on a 40,000 household survey and is used as a common currency by advertisers and research agencies in the country.

As COO of the company, Ibrahim oversaw projects that included brand health tracking for FMCGs, telecoms and banks, customer satisfaction surveys, brand equity work, consumer product testing and communication testing. In her new role as CEO, Ibrahim is responsible for all business functions and the P&L of the company.
