Two Senior Hires for M3 Global

In the US, M3 Global Research has appointed healthcare research veteran David Deutsch as Head of Syndicated Products, while eRewards' former CMO and Chief Panel Officer Bill Russo has joined as President of Market Research.

M3 Global Research is the MR division of Tokyo-based M3 Inc - a SONY company which operates a proprietary healthcare professional panel of 2 million respondents across more than 60 countries. The global research division - which was created through the integration of MDLinx in the US, EMS Research in Europe, and M3 companies across Asia - offers quant and qual fieldwork and omnibus surveys.

Deutsch joins from WorldOne, where he served as SVP, Global Qualitative Research, leading a group offering a full-range of primary research capabilities across all clinical and commercial audiences. His background includes senior market research and project management roles for pharma corporates Bristol-Meyers Squibb, Searle and Baxter; and provider-side at IMS Health, MattsonJack, Datamonitor and TargetRx.

In addition, Deutsch founded healthcare strategic research and communications firm Biotext in 1991, and worked there for ten years, in the meantime selling it to Quintiles Transnational in 1998.

Russo (pictured) was most recently EVP and CMO at eRewards company Research Now, where he was responsible for all elements of the marketing mix. He also served as Chief Panel Officer with responsibility for managing the firm's Opinion Panels. Russo spent a total of eleven years with the eRewards group, prior to which he held senior roles with Epsilon and Brierley & Partners, and also ran a subsidiary of marcoms agency The Richards Group.

In his new position, Russo will oversee the US and European sales, marketing and operations teams.
