2CV Promotes Bagnall for UK MD Role

UK-based agency 2CV has promoted Mark Bagnall to Managing Director of its UK office, following Doug Edmonds' relocation to San Francisco, where he now serves as Group CEO.

Mark Bagnall and Doug EdmondsCello-owned 2CV offers specialist qual and advanced quant research expertise from bases in London, San Francisco and Singapore.

Bagnall joined the company in 2009, when it launched an experiential marketing evaluation division - 2CV EXP - in partnership with his firm, Phoenix Research. Most recently, he served as 2CV's Head of Digital, helping to develop the firm's proprietary research tools. In his new position, he will continue to drive the 'digital agenda' throughout the company.

Bagnall comments: 'My role as MD will reflect the vision I have of the changing research landscape. Embracing and exploiting digital is key, but set within the wider world view of what consumers' think, say, and do. At 2CV our job has always been to tell the complete consumer story.'

Edmonds had held the position since 2009, having previously served as 2CV's Head of Numbers, in charge of its quant division. Before joining the firm in 2000, he held planning roles at ad agencies WCRS, Leo Burnett and BDH\TBWA.

In a statement, Group COO Tim Blandford described Bagnall as the 'natural choice' for the MD role as the firm continues with its planed international expansion.
