Effective Measure Hires Aus/NZ Leader

Digital audience specialist Effective Measure has appointed former Yahoo! sales leader Ben Sharp as Managing Director of its Australia and New Zealand operations, replacing Michael Robertson who has been promoted to the post of Global Director of Products.

Ben SharpThe firm, which also has offices in Dubai, New York, Sydney, Bangkok, and South Africa, uses Digital Helix technology to overcome issues with cookie deletion and unique visitor audience calculation. At present, it is rolling out its 'Enable' media planning dashboard in Australia - this offers access to demographic and psychographic data to help advertisers and agencies understand target audiences, and plan and measure the impact of their online campaigns, and according to Global CEO Richard Webb will 'challenge' Nielsen and comScore.

Sharp (pictured), who will drive the initiative, joins with eleven years' Australian digital media and advertising experience. Most recently, he co-founded consumer technology/lifestyle web site publisher Allure Media, prior to which he worked for Yahoo! in Sydney as Group Sales Director.
