WhatRunsWhere Debuts Google-Only Ad Tool

October 23 2012

US firm WhatRunsWhere has launched a standalone tool allowing clients to track their competitors' online and mobile ad campaigns running across the Google Display Network.

Mike CojanuWhatRunsWhere's intelligence service allows users to analyse what advertisers are doing online: where they are running ads, from who they are buying inventory, and which ads they are using. Earlier this year, the firm acquired UK-based start-up Mobile Ad Spy, and integrated the latter's software into its platform, to enable the tracking of competitors' mobile ad campaigns.

CEO Mike Cojanu (pictured) says the new 'WhatRunsWhere Advantage' tool can pinpoint exactly which individual ads are running across the Google network - both locally and globally.

'Many of our smaller customers place ads only on the Google Display Network, so they didn't need the more robust capabilities of the complete WhatRunsWhere solution, which includes competitive intelligence of banner and text ad campaigns across the entire web and mobile universe,' adds Cojanu. 'So we developed this new tool to zero in on their needs while reducing their costs.'
