Revelation Names New COO

US-based research software provider Revelation has appointed Todd McLean as Chief Operating Officer, to work alongside CEO Steve August on the firm's planning and expansion initiatives.

Revelation, which develops qual research software for web and mobile platforms, last year introduced a text visualization and visual search tool called Word Trees, to avoid the need for users to export data to another tool in order to conduct content analysis.

McLean (pictured) joins from national health care payment technology and services firm Qmedtrix, where he worked for ten years, and latterly served as EVP managing many of the traditional COO functions. For the prior thirteen years, he worked at financial services holding company A.G. Edwards; managing investment portfolios. During his career, he has also helped set up two Internet-based design and retail firms.
